LIGHTS!  CAMERA!  ACTION! Filmmaking is a class designed to introduce the student to the art of filmmaking.  This is a one semester course and over the course of the semester students will take on at least four filming projects and will be involved in the entire creative process from the conception of the idea to producing the finished product.

We will brainstorm and storyboard ideas, write scripts, construct sets, props & costumes, film footage at school or "on location", edit the footage and produce the final product including the packaging of the DVD cases.

Some of our projects may include, a TV commercial, music video, cooking or reality show, digital or public service announcement.  Students will also learn tips for filming full length shows or performances and will be able to put that knowledge to work by filming one of our Mercy High School events> (for example the Drama Club production.)
